var intro         = 'Five teams made up the first MPTC tournament draw:<br>PollyD - RobertG<br>TimG - BruceD<br>Kurt and Diane L<br>CraigS and MichaelB<br>BobW and BrentS<br><br>The draw consisted of a round robin flight of 3, a flight of 2, and a rather loose playoff format that<br>could best be describe as \"random\". Two serves were allowed. The tournament desk noted that<br>there was not a single complaint about this deviation from standard procedure. <br><br>The weather was warm. Really warm. It was windy, really windy, and got more and more<br>windy as the day progressed, to the point of gale force. Temps at the time of finals was about 80F.<br>Between the temps and the wind, it was hard to be steady. Everyone did admirably well.<br><br>Tim evoked an MPTC rule citing \"Extreme Exhaustion\" and was allowed to substitute Eileen in for<br>the finals. (other conditions allowing substituion are Extreme Drinking, and Extreme Compound<br>Leg Fracture).<br><br>Thanks as always to our patrons, the  Red Mouse Bar and Grill, for giving us a place to play,  and for feeding us for lunch. ';
