Colorado Driving Trip:
Drove to Boulder on Xmas Day. 1000 miles. Dry roads. Highlight of the trip was 25 hours of NPR programming on the new iPod nano. The miles rolled by. Stayed with Madeline's ex-nani Loli for the first half of the trip. Great coffee there!
Spent one sunny afternoon on the Pearl Street Mall.
Boulder had already been pounded with 35" of Big Snow. Weather was clear when we showed, but another storm came and dumped another 14". Made it hard to get around, but the X/C skiing in town was excellent.
Went for an X/C ski in the Flatirons after the 2nd storm blew thru.Clear day, classic Colorado conditions.
Hit Denver's 16th St. Mall after Storm #2 with Madeline. It was a slushy mess.
Jeremy threw a New Year's Eve party that proved popular beyond expectation. Given the mountains of snow in the street, it's unclear where anyone parked. I drank Margs all evening.
We all hooked up at Tony's new loft in downtown Denver before heading out to dinner at Tomayo's. Barry, Jaye, Tony, Eileen, Madeline, Tim, Jackie, Dave.
City and County Building lights, a holiday institution in Denver, had a new look this year with their new energy saving LED lights. They looked great. Very crisp.
